How do I join a trip as a different user via Facebook or Email?

Sometimes you can get invited to a trip via an email address that you don't want to use or you can't connect your Facebook account because it's already been connected to a different email. If you'd like to join a trip and view it on Travefy as a different user, here's what you can do.

If you normally sign in via email: invite the correct email address to the trip

  1. Go to the trip you'd like to join and then go to the trip's invites page by hitting View All RSVPs on the trip's home page.
  2. Send an invite to the correct email address.
  3. Sign out completely from Travefy by going to https://travefy.com/account/logout
  4. Check your (new/corrected) email for the invitation to the trip and click either the Yes or More Details button.
  5. You may be prompted to enter your password, but once you do you should be on the trip as the new/corrected user.
  6. If you want to remove the old/incorrect account from the trip, ask the trip's organizer to follow the steps here.

If you normally sign in via Facebook: join the trip from the Trip Invitation Page

This method is useful if you've used Facebook to sign in to Travefy previously but somebody invited you to a trip via an email that's not connected to that Facebook account.

  1. Go to the trip you'd like to join and then go to the trip's invites page by hitting View All RSVPs on the trip's home page.
  2. Click the Copy Link button next to the Trip Invitation Page link (or copy the URL manually by highlighting it and pressing CTRL+C on Windows or CMD+C on Mac)
  3. Sign out completely from Travefy by going to https://travefy.com/account/logout
  4. Paste the Trip Invitation Link into your address bar (hit CTRL+V on Windows or CMD+V on Mac)
  5. Click the Join This Trip button on the right side of the page
  6. In the modal that pops up, hit the Already Have a Travefy Account button at the bottom.
  7. Sign in with your correct email or hit the Facebook button to sign in.
